Beauty Tech Group made its London market debut.

With a significant surge in demand for at-home beauty solutions, The Beauty Tech Group has seen its profit for the first half of the year increase more than threefold. The company, which owns Currentbody Skin, ZIIP Beauty, and Tria Laser, and is listed on the London Stock Exchange, reported a pre-tax profit of £17.5m for the six months ending in June, marking a substantial rise from £5m in the same period last year.

Growth across multiple brands

The company’s revenue saw a 44.3 per cent increase, reaching £79.7m, up from £55.2m, while its gross profit experienced a 52.8 per cent jump to £51.3m. Since its initial public offering (IPO) on the London Stock Exchange in October, valued at approximately £300m, The Beauty Tech Group has capitalized on the growing trend of bringing professional beauty treatments into the home. This shift has been particularly beneficial for the company, given its portfolio of innovative products.

Among its most notable offerings are CurrentBody’s LED face masks, which utilize varying light wavelengths to enhance skin appearance. The group indicated that its first-half performance exceeded expectations, leading to a full-year revenue forecast of at least £170m, consistent with the upgraded projection announced in July.

As of June, the company held £52m in cash, with no debt, after accounting for liabilities, representing an increase from £40.8m at the end of 2025. Additionally, The Beauty Tech Group has announced plans to repurchase up to £20m of its shares, with no interim dividend payment scheduled.

From niche to mainstream

Currentbody introduced its inaugural LED light therapy mask in 2018, a time when educating consumers about the benefits and normalizing the use of such devices was a significant challenge. The company has since developed a third-generation LED range, slated for launch in the second half of the year, following an extensive two-year research and testing phase.

The Beauty Tech Group is also investing in an in-house laboratory, scheduled to open in early 2027, and collaborating with the University of Manchester on research examining the effects of at-home LED devices on skin. Meanwhile, ZIIP Beauty has completed manufacturing adjustments in anticipation of a new product line launch in the second half, and the group is transitioning its European warehousing operations in-house.

Since its IPO, which raised approximately £29m and enabled the company to clear its external debt, The Beauty Tech Group has experienced rapid growth. Its first annual results, published in April, showed a 39.4 per cent revenue increase to £141m in 2025, with gross profit rising 53.9 per cent to £88.3m. The company generates around 80 per cent of its sales outside the UK and Ireland, with a presence in over 90 markets.
